If you would like to try one, join us for a “Mini” workshop for tips and tricks. We will custom design the workshop to your needs, whether it is cutting, sewing, backing or binding, and the workshop is free if you purchase the kit and pattern from us. Two-hour session.

60 MINUTE CLASSES
Learn the basics of machine quilting! This class covers the fundamentals to get you started and then moves on to the fun of quilting. You will practice stitch in the ditch, echo quilting, stippling and some simple continuous line motifs. Class fee is $39.
Learn the basics of quilting, including fabric selection, rotary cutting, sewing consistent seam allowances, backing, binding and quilting the finished top. The quilt uses the split rail block and can be finished as a lap quilt or baby quilt. Class fee is $109.

CURRENT BLOCK OF THE MONTH PROGRAMS BERTIE’S YEAR - An encore presentation of this Block of the Month began in May and shows Bertie, an adorable bird, on his adventures through the year. Each block uses Maywood’s woolie flannels and simple embroidery stitches to create a 13” X 17” small individual quilt or to combine into a wall hanging. Small tabletop hangers are available at an additional cost. Workshops are held each month to help you learn any new stitches in a hands-on environment.
FRIVOLS - The second series of Moda’s 12 FRIVOLS is now available! Each month, a different designer, different project and other goodies will be featured. Each limited edition tin measures 4.5" x 7.5" and includes: 42 - 7"x7" squares, 1 new Moda quilt and block pattern, and a Frivol surprise or two! The cost of the 4-month program will be $45/month and the discounted 12-month program will be $39/month. Each has a registration fee equal to one month’s fee and will be returned upon completion of the program. Note: A limited number of tins are produced each month. KINDRED SPIRITS - You too are going to love, love, love this club and its projects!! Kindred Spirits Club patterns include six designs. Two of these offer two sizes. Projects range in size from 13½” X 11½” to 40” X 51½”. Each month, for six months, you will receive a pattern and fabrics to complete the top and binding. Fabrics will be from the Kindred Spirits line of fabric Jill Shaulis designed with Windham.

Return Policy No returns on books, magazines, patterns, kits, blocks of the month or fabric. Other products that remain in an unused, unopened condition in original packaging can be returned for store credit within a 30 day period from the time of purchase. Gift and consignment items can be returned for a store credit within a 30 day period from the time of purchase. Reduced items are final sale. Class Registration & Cancellation Policies When you register, you will receive a supply list for that particular class, stating supplies needed and what precutting (if any) is required. Frequent Buyer Points are not awarded for class tuition, but a registered student will receive a 15% discount on items purchased for a particular class. If the Revere School System cancels classes due to weather, classes at The Polka Dot Pincushion will be postponed to a new time. If the shop cancels a class, a full refund will be given. If you need to cancel your spot in a class, you need to give the store a three day notice of your cancellation. You will then receive a store credit to take another class. If you do not attend the class, or do not give adequate notice that you need to cancel, you forfeit your class fee.
