Quilting in the hoop can be a lot of fun! Join us for this class to learn how to use your embroidery machine to quilt designs and patterns onto your quilt. This is a great way to create amazing themed quilts as well as customize your quilting options. There is required homework that needs to be completed before this class. Please see the attached sheet for quilt directions. You will need to bring the completed quilt top, backing fabric and batting layered and ready before class start. You will also need to have your chosen design from the Edge-to-Edge Quilting software preloaded onto a USB. Materials Required: ● PFAFF Embroidery Machine & Embroidery Unit ● 1 ⅛ yard of Medium Colored Fabric ● ¾ yard of Light Colored Fabric ● ⅞ yard of Border Fabric ● Backing Fabric for 51” x 60” quilt ● Batting to fit 51” x 60” quilt ● Edge-to-Edge Quilting designs (Books & Expansion packs available at Find X Designs) ● *optional* Grand Metal Hoop 240x150 (available at Find X Designs) ● *optional* Grand Dream Hoop 360x250 (available at Find X Designs) ● Assorted Embroidery threads ● Assorted Bottom Line or bobbin weight thread ● Assorted Quilting threads ● All staple notions used for sewing including ○ Scissors (large & small) ○ Extra Machine Needles ○ Accessory Machine Feet INCLUDING Embroidery Foot ○ Extra Bobbins ○ Straight Pins (fine) ○ Seam Ripper ○ Embroidery Hoops that came with your machine
Find X Designs offers weekly classes to ensure each customer maximizes the potential of their PFAFF Sewing or Embroidery machine and their sewing abilities. These classes are free to PFAFF owners who purchased their machine from Find X Designs. These owners can take as many of these classes as they want. PFAFF owners who purchased their machine from other stores can take each class for $15. Each class will highlight a specific skill but all students, regardless of skill level, are encouraged to attend in order to learn your specific machine.

Quilt pattern for Quilting in the Hoop class There is required precuts and assembly needed for this class. This pattern makes a 45” x 54” completed quilt Please have the following pieced together into a quilt top before you attend: ● Medium Fabric ○ Cut 9 (nine) - 9 ½” squares ○ Cut 4 (four) - 9 ½” x 5” ● Light Fabric ○ Cut 6 (six) - 9 ½” squares ○ Cut 6 (six) - 9 ½” x 5” ● Border ○ Cut 6 (six) - 5” x WOF strips ○ 2 (two) - 54 ½” strips for sides ○ 2 (two) 36” strips for top and bottom
