DID YOU KNOW? You Can Piece and Quilt in the Embroidery Hoop. More and more designers are creating pieced quilts that are pieced and quilted almost completely in the Embroidery hoop, eliminating the need to worry about that exact 1/4” Seam and precise rotary Cutting. One of the design companies leading in this type of embroidery is our friends at HoopsSisters, All of their design combine piecing and quilting in the hoop. We are excited to be offering an Embroirder-a-Block of the Month “Feathered Star” starting in February 2013. Since you are piecing and quilting in the hoop, you need to use batting instead of traditional stabilizer to do your embroidery. Hoop Sisters has designed a new product called “Battalizer” that combines the feel and look of batting and the strength and stability of a traditional stabilizer. All of the quilting designs that come with this project are from the award winning quilter Sharon Schamber. Sharon has created many more quilting embroidery designs that will take any quilt from ordinary to extraordinary. Stop by Country Traditions to learn more about this project and check out Sharon’s Quilting Collections.
