PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 4-H Members This year we will have a photography contest during the Madison County Fair July 10-13th. Photographic exhibits will be judged throughout the fair by fair goers voting for their favorites. Saturday at approximately 12:30 pm a “Peoples Choice” award will be announced for the photo that receives the most votes. Entries must be brought to the 4-H Office prior to July 9th Exhibitors must submit an entry form with a signed photo release. These photos may be used in our CCE of Madison County promotional materials including the CCE of Madison County website. (This contest will be separate from the 4-H Conference Judging Day although you may use the same photo for both judging opportunities. Blue ribbon items may be selected as State Fair exhibits at the discretion of the judge.) Rules for the Saturday photography display: Exhibit must have been taken by the exhibitor during the club year. Human subjects in the photograph must be 4-H members or you must submit a signed photo release for any non-4-H member in the photograph. No photograph or digital image shall be smaller than 3 ½” by 3 ½”. Exhibit must be titled or captioned to assist the viewer to interpret the message. Preparation of photo for exhibit should demonstrate good workmanship and use of materials. Exhibit should be mounted on a sturdy background or in a creative frame that will enhance the photo.
