PILOT INTERNATIONAL CLUB AMBASSADOR GUIDELINES To celebrate Founders’ Month, clubs may honor one or more members by designating her/him as the Pilot International Club Ambassador. This candidate should: Be active in an assigned role within the club. Promote and support Pilot International and its activities. Be active in a project that addresses one of Pilot International’s core areas of service focus: Anchor Clubs (Youth Development & Leadership), Brain Safety & Fitness, and/or Caring for Families in Times of Need. Be faithful in attending meetings and give generously of his/her time to assist with service projects and fundraising activities. Club members may nominate and vote on their choice for Pilot International Club Ambassador or a committee may be appointed by the club members to select the Pilot International Club Ambassador. The name of the Pilot International Club Ambassador and a minimum donation of $25 should be sent to Pilot International and postmarked by September 30 to ensure listing in the Spring issue of The Pilot Log. It is regretful that photos and bios cannot be printed due to the numerous honorees. Donations for Club Ambassador help support the Pilot International Safe Harbor Fund. PILOT INTERNATIONAL CLUB AMBASSADOR CELEBRATION SUGGESTIONS: Being honored as the Pilot International Club Ambassador is more meaningful when the entire club shares in the recognition. Plan a special program and feature your club Ambassador. Include a special recognition, present a certificate and perhaps a small gift (flowers, gift certificate, etc.) Be sure to capture the moment on film for your Pilot International Club Ambassador and your club’s photo album. Many clubs hold special fundraising events in the name of Pilot International and the profits are contributed to Pilot International in the name of the Club Ambassador. These funds help support the Pilot International Safe Harbor Fund. Have your local newspaper or radio/television station do a special feature on the Pilot International Club Ambassador. This is a public awareness tool that promotes visibility both for your club, Pilot International and its service initiatives.
Pilot International Club Ambassador nominations MUST be postmarked by SEPTEMBER 30 in order for the Club Ambassador’s name to be listed in the Spring issue of The Pilot Log
