Senior Football Championship: The Championship will be comprised of two Groups of six teams and referred to as Group 1 & Group 2 played on a league basis. Group 1: Killucan, Mullingar Shamrocks, The Downs, Tyrrellspass, St.Lomans, & Athlone. Group 2: Garrycastle, Maryland, Caulry, Castledaly, Rosemount, & Coralstown/Kinnegad Concluding Stages: Teams 1 & 2 in Group 1 into semi-finals, Teams 3 & 4 in Group 1 into quarter-finals, Teams 1 & 2 in Group 2 into quarter finals. Groups 1 & 2 will play on a 2 leg basis – to give 6 games in group stages. Group 1: Team 1 and Team 2 to semi-finals, Team 3 to Quarter Finals, Team 4 relegated to Group 2 for 2018 Group 2: Team 1 and Team 2 to Quarter Finals and also Team 1 promoted to Group 1 for 2018 Group 3 Team 1 plays Group 1 Team 4 in play off with winner to Quarter Finals Quarter Finals: Open draw Semi Finals: Open draw, with Team 1 and Team 2 from Group 1 seeded to avoid a direct clash in semi final Junior champions promoted to Intermediate for 2018. Note *** Full Championship regulations apply. For the purpose of qualification rule 6.23 will be used to determine placings, however, if teams 3 & 4 following the application of the above rule finish on equal points, the committee reccomends playoff’s to be used to determine the outcome. No team will be eliminated from the competitions based on the head to head result or scoring difference.*** Fé 21 Championship: There will be one 15 aside competition for 2017 to be ran during the summer months Open draw, knock-out. Amalgamations will be considered for the 15 aside competition subject to approval by the CCC. All County Leagues: All County Leagues will commence on the weekend of the 10/11th February. Divisions 6, and 7 will be 13 aside competitions with the option to play 15 aside subject to both clubs agreeing. It may be possible to combine Divisions 6 & 7 from 2016 into 1 Division and split it into 2 groups when we see the number of teams entering these divisions. The top two teams in each division as stated above will be promoted for 2018. Bottom two team in each division to be relegated for 2018. If required playoff’s will be used to determine the teams for promotion and relegation respectively. League finals for 2017 will be held in June PLEASE NOTE*** In the 2018 leagues, Clubs failing to field for a Second time (ie two walkovers) shall be disqualified from the Competition and will face automatic relegation to the next lowest division. They will replace the lowest of the two bottom teams in the division thus saving one team from relegation. *** Cup Competitions: Feis Cup Open to all 12 clubs participating in the senior championship, Open Draw Knock Out
Intermediate Cup Open to all 12 clubs participating in the intermediate championship, Open Draw Knock Out Junior Cup: Open to all 8 sole Junior clubs participating in the junior championship, Open Draw Knock Out Senior B For Senior Clubs only – Open draw League basis top two to qualify for final. One or Two divisions depending on number of enteries recieved, CCC to decide when making the draw. If one division top Team to have home advantage in Final, else draw to decide home advantage. Junior B For Intermediate & Junior Clubs and third team of Senior Clubs. Open draw League basis top two to qualify for final. One or Two divisions depending on number of enteries recieved, CCC to decide when making the draw. If one division top Team to have home advantage in Final, else draw to decide home advantage. Note *** All Players except the named players in the various grades can compete in the Senior B and Junior B Competitions. *** It is important that all Clubs indicate a.s.a.p what competitions they are entering, and no later than Friday 27th January 2017. Naming of players for Championship: Senior clubs to name 15 players for Championship and any other player who plays in the Senior Championship, Senior Clubs entering third team in the ACFL must name 15 + 2 + 7. Intermediate Clubs – Name 12 players. Intermediate Clubs entering a third team in the ACFL must name 12 +5 + 7. The first named 15 & 12 Players respectively shall be eligible to play for the 1st team only in the Club. It is envisaged that the players named for the Championship shall also constitute the players for the Leagues. Extra time: To be played in the following, Replays, all playoff games, all rounds including the Final of the Fé 21, Senior “B”, Junior “B”, Feis Cup, Intermediate Cup & Junior Cup games (10 mins each half, if still level, followed by a further 5 mins) NOTES 1. Entry fee for entering a second/third team in the ACFL is set @ €300 per team repayable to clubs who compete in all rounds of the various league divisions. 2. The league will be played between February and May with the finals in early June. 3. All teams will be out the one weekend (ie Div 2 on Saturday and Div 1 & Div 4 on Sunday). 4. The absence of County players is not an acceptable reason for the postponement of League games. Postponements/Rearrangements will not be granted; unless in exceptional circumstances. (Waterlogged Pitches, Death in your Club) and then only with permission from The CCC Chairperson Sean Sheridan. 5. Entry fee for entering the U-21 FC is set @ €300 per team repayable to clubs who compete in all fixtures until knocked out of competition.
