“He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes. He casts forth His ice like morsels; Who can stand before His cold?" Psalm 147:16,17 WELCOME: In this wintry time of year, we come to worship our Triune God mindful that, out of His providence and sovereign care, we are daily receiving His blessings. From His hand we receive food and drink, shelter and clothing, and especially His warm embracing covenant made available through the Lord Jesus Christ. A warm welcome to each one who visits with us! Please join us in the Fellowship Hall following the morning service for refreshments and fellowship. Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children’s Church. Sunday School/Catechism for ages PreK-12th grades will resume TODAY after the morning service. Reminder: Beginning today, our second worship gatherings will begin at 5:30 PM! We hope to see you there. Adult Bible Study will meet after the evening service at around 6:30 PM in the Society Room. We will continue to “Discover Philippians”, Lesson 4: “Shining Like Stars.” ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning in “Shepherding 101,” we move from looking at God Himself as our shepherd in Christ to “The Chief Shepherd’s Undershepherds.” While at the right hand of God, our Lord appoints men to tend His flock, and 1 Peter 5: 1-11 outlines God’s designs, the dangers that make it necessary and the hope we have in our final destiny. This evening, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Throughout the New Testament, God gives instructions to “one another,” and Pastor Drew will be looking at one of those passages on each first Sunday evening of the month in 2018. This evening, the simple call from Jesus in John 13:3135 is to “Love One Another.”
