Installation Guide for Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015 (Standalone Installation) Updated: 05/1/15
Before you begin, you will need to: 1. Downloaded Inventor Professional 2015 from the ARC Portal. 2. Access your Product Key and Serial Number from the ARC portal. a. If you don’t have this information go to http://www.autodesk.com/pltw-signin and request your Serial Number and Product Key.
Procedure 1. Run the Installer you downloaded from the ARC portal. 2. After the files extract the installer will automatically launch. Select Install.

Select I Accept and Next.
4.
Input your Serial Number and Product Key from the ARC Portal and select Next.

Keep the selection of “Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015” and select Next.
6. Select the down arrow under Autodesk 2015.
7. Scroll down to the section titled “Service Packs” and select Download to include the most current Service Pack with your install.

Once the service pack has fully downloaded select the up arrow to close the configure dropdown.

Uncheck “Autodesk Vault Basic 2015 (Client)”, “Autodesk ReCap”, and “Autodesk 360”. These are not needed for PLTW Curriculum and can save space by not being installed.
10. Select Install and the installation process will begin and select Finish when complete.
STOP IF YOU ARE USING THIS COMPUTER AS A MASTER IMAGE. DO NOT FOLLOW THE NEXT STEPS OF ACTIVATING THE SOFTWARE. YOU WILL NEED TO ACTIVATE AFTER IMAGING. If you are NOT using this machine as a Master Image, see the next steps.

** Note: In the event you are using a product like Deep Freeze, you will have to have your machine “THAWED” prior to doing this process. **
Procedure - Activating Autodesk Inventor 1. After the installation completely finishes, launch Inventor.
2. Check the Autodesk Privacy Statement and select I Agree.
3.
Select Activate.
4. Enter your Autodesk User ID and Password and Log In.

5. Select your institution’s account and select Next. ** Note: If you do not have an account listed here, fill out the necessary information. **
6.
Select Finish.
7.
Inventor will launch and be ready for use.
** Note: Steps 4 and 5 should only be necessary for the FIRST activation of your Serial Number. All subsequent machines will not require entering your Autodesk User ID and Password or associating the Serial Number to your Account. **
