Preparation 1. Cover mushrooms with cold water and soak overnight.
2. Drain the mushrooms reserving the soaking liquid; strain the liquid through a fine mesh.
3. Melt the butter under moderate heat in a soup pot. Add onions and saute until golden brown. Add to soup with strained liquid from soaked mushrooms. Thicken with corn starch.
4. Adjust seasoning, let simmer under low heat for 15-20 min.
