POSITION DESCRIPTION VSSC is interested in hiring a motivated graduate (ARCE or CE) who is excited to learn and grow within our office, with the potential for a long-term commitment. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background who is passionate about the field of structural engineering. A Design Engineer will work closely with experienced staff to generate calculations, construction documents, and reports for a wide range of new and existing building and bridge structures. Candidates should be dedicated and responsible self-starters with good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. ENTRY LEVEL POSITION REQUIREMENTS • • • • • •
BS or MS in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural concentration Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Certification Familiar with timber, steel, concrete, and masonry design Experience with Revit, Autocad, and structural analysis software Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Capable to actively assist workflow on multiple projects
