• Texas used the starting lineup of Ariel Atkins, Lashann Higgs, Brooke McCarty, Sug Sutton and Jatarie White for the first time this season and is 1-0 with the current starting five. • The Longhorns out-rebounded the Jayhawks 47-27. It marked the 15th time in 16 games this season that Texas has won the battle of the boards and the 75th time in the last 86 games. • Texas brought down a season-high 26 offensive rebounds in the game. • The Longhorns totaled 13 steals in the game, marking the eighth time this season that they have recorded double-figure steals and the second consecutive game.

• Senior guard Ariel Atkins scored a game-high 22 points to go along with nine rebounds, a career-high six steals, three assists and three blocks in 31 minutes of play. o Atkins increased her career points total to 1,208. She becomes the 29th player in program history to reach 1,200 career points. She needs 21
more points to surpass Amie Smith (1,228 career points) for 28th place on the school’s all-time career scoring list. o Atkins played in her 102nd career game at Texas. • Junior guard Lashann Higgs scored 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting and a 4-of-6 clip from the free-throw line. She also had two assists and two steals in 22 minutes of play. o In conference games only, Higgs is averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting 67.2 percent from the field with 15 steals. o Higgs has scored in double figures in six of her last seven games. • Sophomore guard Sug Sutton scored a career-high 14 points, adding three rebounds and three assists. o Sutton tied her career high in minutes played with 31. o Sutton played in her 50th game for the Longhorns. • Sophomore guard/forward Joyner Holmes recorded season highs in points (11) and rebounds (9). She played a season-high 23 minutes.
