The Longhorns won the rebound battle for the 30th time in 33 games this season, out-rebounding the Wolfpack, 41-28. Texas had eight blocks in the game, increasing its season blocks total to 192. That marks the second-most blocks in a single-season in program history. The Longhorns need eight more blocks to break the school record (199) for blocks in a single season.

Junior point guard Brooke McCarty scored a team-high 23 points to lead the way for the Longhorns. McCarty has scored in double figures on 28 occasions this season. o McCarty scored 20 or more points for the fourth time this season. o McCarty finished with three three-pointers in the game, increasing her career three-pointers made total to 181. That moved her into sixth place on the school’s all-time career three-pointers made list. o McCarty has led Texas in scoring on a team-best 18 occasions this season. Senior center Kelsey Lang totaled six points, seven rebounds and tied her career high with six blocks. o Lang increased her career blocks total to 186, which moved her into sixth place on UT’s all-time career blocked shots list. o Lang played in her 137th career game at Texas, which ranks fifth all-time at UT in career games played. Freshman guard/forward Joyner Holmes finished with 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds in 27 minutes of play. Freshman guard Alecia Sutton tied her career high with 10 points and also dished out three assists in 20 minutes of play.
