PRAYING FOR SCHOOLS For Teachers • For renewed vision and purpose as they begin this new year • For peace as they plan • For calmness, boldness, and confidence for teachers beginning at new school • To have loving words to speak to particularly difficult students or teachers • To use words to speak life into students • To model Christ’s love to students, other teachers, and administrators even when they are not able to speak about their faith • To have renewed patience and perseverance in the midst of frustration as the year goes on • To have joy, stamina, energy, and encouragement even when teachers and students feel like quitting • For creativity as they plan to make learning exciting and memorable so that students might understand the material effectively • That their classrooms would be a place where students fall in love with learning and strive to grow
For Students
• To come to school eager to learn and to be able to retain what they are learning • To have respect, grace, and understanding for their teachers and administration • Who are Christians to be a godly witness to those around them • Who feel left out, bullied, or insecure to be encouraged and loved, and for teachers to identify and stop any bullying that may be occurring • And whatever may be happening in their homes, that teachers would have discernment and a heart to understand the baggage that some students bring to school • Moving to new schools that God would give them confidence, peace, and encouragement from both other students and their teachers
PRAYING FOR SCHOOLS For the principal and school administrators • That they would lead wisely and well • That they would have healthy, edifying, and God-honoring relationships with students and teachers
For elected leaders on school boards
• That they would make wise decisions
• That they would be surrounded by people who give wise counsel
That God would raise up godly leaders in schools
• Whether those are teachers, administrators, students, support staff • Who seek to honor God with their words and actions
Pray for safety in our schools • That God would protect schools from violence, attacks, and insecurity • That teachers and leaders would be vigilant and aware
Pray that people in all areas of schools would be following God and drawing others to Him. • That God would protect schools from violence, attacks, and insecurity • That teachers and leaders would be vigilant and aware
For Students
