Demonstrates understanding that we are surrounded by geographical features, e.g., mountain, hill, desert lake, river, creek, bayou, and there is specific information that identifies a location, e.g., address. 6. Matches objects to usual locations and identifies features of familiar places (e.g., tree in a park, bed in a bedroom). 7. With adult support, participates in activities to preserve the environment (e.g., using the trash can and saving items that can be recycled). 8. Names city and state where he/she lives.
