Preschool/Early Learning Program Parent Information Dear Parent/Guardian: Thank you for your interest in the Akron Public Schools Preschool and Early Learning Program. We serve typically developing children, also known as peer models, and children with special needs. This registration packet is for typically developing children. If you have a preschooler with special needs, please contact us directly at the phone number or email listed below. To be eligible for preschool and early learning, the child must turn three by Sept. 30 of that school year and parent/guardian must live in an Akron Public Schools district.  Classes are five days/week; 2½ hours in the morning or afternoon.  Parents are responsible for transportation.  Tuition is on a sliding-fee scale with maximum of $75/month for the 2017-2018 school year.  All children receive free breakfast or lunch depending on session attended.  Parent/guardian ID, proof of residency, household income, child’s birth certificate, dentist and primary care doctor (with address, phone and fax information) and shot record are required at enrollment.  Classrooms are located in various elementary schools and subject to change.
