SAQA requires a supplier to proof-read the 99-page report on the document “Data and Information Highlights from the 2014 NQF Impact Study”
Requirements: The chosen supplier will be responsible for proof-reading the 99-page document entitled: “Data and Information Highlights from the 2014 NQF Impact Study”, which must include the following. Submission of the proof-read document – showing all changes using tracked changes, and all comments in comment boxes – to Ms Charmaine Lebooa (
[email protected]). Making the additional changes required after SAQA review of the proofread, should there be any changes required. Specification:
Proof-reading should include checking for, and correction of, the following. Typos/ accidental errors in language and formatting. That all numbering of sections, sub-sections, tables and figures in the document is sequential. Alignment between the headings in the Contents, and the headings in the rest of the document. That all in-text references to tables, figures, and other sections/subsections of the report, are correct. That all formatting is consistent. That all in-text references are included in the List of References at the end of the document.
Bid requirements:
The following documents must be submitted along with the quote (soft or hard copy): Three examples of editing/proofreading work by the submitter of the bid. A covering letter. BBBEE scorecard. A Supplier Registration Report as proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database of National Treasury (Please forward a Supplier Registration Report to SAQA). Functionality, price and BBBEE shall be evaluated as indicated: 1. Functionality Evaluation: three examples of edited/proof-read work and covering letter (100%) 2. For those achieving a Functionality Rating of 90% or higher, submissions will be rated according to Pricing (80%) and B-BBEE Rating (20%) Functionality Evaluation criteria: 100% Compliance with Terms of Reference Three samples of previous work Covering letter Evidence of written language proficiency, including concord, tenses, punctuation, consistent use of conventions, and general use of language and finish Pricing Evaluation criteria (for those with Functionality of >90%): 80% Lowest cost to SAQA

Should a bid not be received by the specified deadline for bid submissions for this project, or not be complete, SAQA views this inaction as a declaration of non-participation on the part of the supplier for this specific project.
