Mail Theft Suspects Arrested

On Thursday, May 11, 2017, at approximately 4:00 a.m., an alert Manhattan Beach resident called 911 to report two suspects stealing mail from the U.S. Post Office located at 425 15th Street #C. Officers initially were unable to locate the suspects; however minutes later, two M.B.P.D. officers located the suspects in the area of the U.S. Post Office at 10th Street and Sepulveda Blvd in Manhattan Beach. A search of the suspect vehicle revealed several pieces of stolen mail from Manhattan Beach residents, rope and rodent glue traps. The rope and glue traps are commonly used to fish out mail from mailboxes. Detectives will make every effort to contact the victims of the theft.
