Robbery Suspects Arrested

Location:

600 block of 19th Street, Manhattan Beach, CA

On Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at approximately 1:15 p.m., an alert Manhattan Beach resident called 911 to report a male suspect and female suspect were burglarizing a vehicle in the 600 block of 19th Street. At the same time, the owner of the vehicle observed the female suspect inside of his car. When the suspect saw she was being watched, she attempted to ride off on a bicycle. The owner of the car chased the female suspect and attempted to detain her. The male suspect fled in another direction. As the owner of the car was holding the suspect’s bicycle in an attempt to detain her, the suspect struck him in the face with her fist and fled the area. When Manhattan Beach Police officers saturated the area, looking for the suspects, they located the female suspect at Live Oak Park. The male suspect was located by officers near Marine Avenue and Pacific Avenue. Both suspects were booked at the Manhattan Beach jail and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and robbery.
