On January 4, 2017, at approximately 5:30 p.m., two suspects were observed shoplifting at Ralph’s Market, 2700 N. Sepulveda Blvd. A witness observed two female suspects shoplifting. When the suspects noticed they were being watched, they fled from the store. When the witness went outside to see what vehicle the suspects were getting into, the suspects attempted to hide the vehicle’s license plate by standing in front of it. One suspect became irate and struck the witness in the head with a metal club. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle. The attached photos of one of the suspects were taken just prior to the assault.
