Verizon Store Robbery

1700 block Artesia Blvd.
On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at approximately 8:45 p.m., two armed gunmen entered the Verizon Store located in the 1700 block of Artesia Blvd. in Manhattan Beach. The gunmen held employees at gunpoint while they stole numerous iPhones. The suspects fled the location in a waiting vehicle. None of the employees were injured during the commission of the crime. Manhattan Beach officers, with the assistance of the Gardena Police Department and the Hawthorne Police Department, located the suspect vehicle in Gardena. When the officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspects abandoned their vehicle in the area of Lemoli Avenue and Marine Avenue and fled on foot. Two suspects were taken into custody and the third suspect was not located. The iPhones were recovered at the scene.
