ThinkLite Sponsors Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center Summer Campership Program ThinkLite encourages other companies to help kids trade the streets for tennis courts. Natick, Massachusetts- July 17, 2014- Representatives from the Boston Police Department and Massachusetts State Senator Russell Holmes joined the happy summer campers of Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center (www.sportsmenstennis.org), Sportsmen’s executive team and the ThinkLite team to celebrate ThinkLite’s sponsorship of a camper this summer at Sportsmen’s. Each summer, Sportsmen’s Tennis hosts summer camp programs for approximately 150 inner city youth, funded by the philanthropic commitment of caring individuals and corporations. ThinkLite, a global lighting efficiency company recently completed a T5 and T8 LED lighting retrofit upgrade at Sportsmen’s Tennis. Sportsmen’s Executive Director, Toni Wiley exclaimed, “Our utility bill is $30,000 per year. With ThinkLite, we will be able to cut that bill in half and take thousands of dollars that went to overheads and invest it in our most precious commodity, our kids.” Dinesh Wadhwani, CEO of ThinkLite said, “It is gratifying to know that Sportsmen’s will invest the savings into the future leaders of our society. We were so impressed by the sprit and mission of this non-profit institution that we chose to support their efforts and would like to encourage other local companies to do the same!” The Boston Police work directly with Sportsmen’s to identify ‘at risk’ youth to include in the summer program. Often, Sportsmen’s relies on the generosity of individuals and companies to underwrite summer campers. Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Gerald Bailey remarked, “ThinkLite has stepped up, and as a result, we now we have more children with a safe haven this summer. We appreciate ThinkLite’s commitment and look forward to their partnership with Sportsmen’s in the months and years to come.” Caption Toni Wiley, Sportsmen’s Executive Director, Danny Wadhwani, ThinkLite COO-CFO, Dinesh Wadhwani, ThinkLite CEO, State Representative Russell Holmes, Boston Police Superintendent Gerald Bailey, members of the Boston Police Department and Edward Mulligan of NSTAR celebrate The new Sportsmen’s/ThinkLite partnership.
