 5th Grade Boys Basketball o Try-Outs will begin 11/1/2016 @ 3:30pm in the Mac EL gym. o Contact Coach TJ Miley for any questions  765-689-9131 Ext. 3304  [email protected]  4th Grade Boys Travel Basketball o Practice will start 11/1/2016 @ 5PM in the Mac EL gym o Contact Mike Thayer with any of your questions 765-419-1175 o There was a call out meeting held on 10/28/2016 for any boys that were interested and the boys were sent home with a form to be completed and returned if they choose to participate. Forms should be turned in to Coach Thayer on Tuesday, 11/1/2016 during the first practice. o There will be a parent meeting after practice at 7pm.  Fall Dress Up Day o Students and staff will be permitted to dress up on 10/31/2016. Students need to abide by the school dress code and the following criteria:  No real or fake weapons  No masks  No face paint  Trunk or Treat o McGrawsville UMC will be hosting a trunk or treat event from 6-8PM at McGrawsville UMC on Saturday, 10/29/2016.  Join them for an evening of fun, fall snacks, games, and candy. Costumes are welcome but are not required.  Fall Run o Saturday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. o Located at Maconaquah Elementary and the event will last about 1 hour. o There will be a Halloween Costume contest, each child will get a treat bag and collect treats along the run. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

 Mac EL PTO Annual Food Drive o There will be a prize per grade for the classes that donate the most items. The food collected during this week will go to Maconaquah families in need.  Monday, October 31: Toiletries, Heath/Beauty Items  Tuesday, November 1: Non-Perishable Breakfast Items  Wednesday, November 2: Non-Perishable Dessert Items  Thursday, November 3: Non-Perishable Sides and Boxed Goods  Friday, November 4: Canned Goods o PTO will purchase a Turkey per family to add to the donations o This list is a suggestion, but you may send other items. Thank you for all of your donations.  Parent Access to Skyward o Parents will received directions at parent teacher conferences on how to access their child's grades through Skyward, our new online student management system. Beginning with the 2nd nine weeks, parents will be able to access Skyward and check their child's grades online. Please note that Mac El teachers are required to update grades at least every two weeks in the online gradebook.  Device Insurance o If you would like to purchase insurance for your child’s device please send in a $25 check made out to Maconaquah Elementary School with your child’s name on it.
