7.0 Communication Plan The intent of this plan is to establish and maintain procedures that ensure that the

project is designed according to standards the Naval Facilities Engineering Command
(NAVFAC) and active communication is maintained throughout the design process. All
phases of the design will be executed to meet or exceed industry standards and ensure complete satisfaction of NAVFAC.
7.1
Communication Plan Objectives
The main objective of this Communication Plan is to provide a mechanism by which the design for the project is subjected to a systematic and thorough preparation. The
outcome of the preparation process described in this plan will create a set of quality project plans that are substantially error free.
A supplemental objective of the Communication Plan is to provide for a well
documented “trail” of the design process. A properly documented project file is a byproduct of the quality control process.
The Communication Plan addresses the following: •
The frequency of design meetings and information to be covered in the meetings;

Design and peer review procedures; and
•
Comment resolution.
The philosophy of Company Name is that design quality control is the responsibility of every member of the design team, as an integral part of his or her design and review
activities. Therefore, the project QC management will ensure the project design team is empowered to build quality into every phase of the project.
Documents and certifications specified will be used to document the design quality
control process. These items will be submitted to NAVFAC or maintained by Company
