The B Hive –ATX is hosting a puppy party and fundraiser scheduled for March 26th 2017. The event will take place at the Moon Tower Saloon at 12pm located at 10212 Manchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748. The event is intended for guests of all ages, and will give everyone an opportunity to have their dogs photographed and provide funding for the featured non-profit. There is a fee of $25 to have your dogs photographed and the proceeds will go towards Forgotten Friends. Moontower Saloon is also showing support to forgotten friends, and will be donating $1 from every drink served to Forgotten Friends. Forgotten Friends is an Austin, Texas based rescue organization founded to reduce the number of adoptable dogs that die every year because they are unable to find committed homes. This organization is run entirely by the help of volunteers and donations from the community. Forgotten Friends rescues dogs from kill shelters around the area, and provides a safe place for dogs until they are adopted.

Once rescued, dogs receive the same healthcare services that they would receive in any other shelter. The B Hive – ATX was founded in 2016 by Erica Vargas and Angela Melpolder with the goal of building an empowering community for women through authentic relationships. The group originally just met for brunch and to review books, but is now broadening their repertoire due to growing popularity, and demand. B Hive members regularly meet for girls nights, new member game nights, and for community outreach events.
