HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of our clientele. It is because of you that we are able to stay in business. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of our regular customers as well as to the new ones who just happen to discover us everyday. It is going to be an exciting year for activities. Our first OPEN HOUSE of the year will be on Sunday, January 4th from 12noon to 4pm. These get-togethers are such a wonderful opportunity to meet the teachers and check out the new classes. We have the upcoming RETREAT in Auburn January 16th to the 19th. For those of you that cannot make that one, there will be another in October. Our annual QUILT RUSH is from April 15th thru the 19th. The theme this year is “CONNECT THE DOTS”. There will be 15 shops participating, great specials, prizes, food and fun! The most exciting activity of all, are our QUILT CAMPS. We look forward, the entire year, to going to camp! Both of them are at Zephyr Cove, right on the lake, amidst the pines, next to the beach. The first one is June 14th thru the 19th. It is already half full, so you need to sign up ASAP! As we write we are working with Zephyr on the dates for the fall camp. Shipping in December, are more fabulous fabrics of Kaffe Fassett from Westminster. Add our extensive ombres and you have the makings for“Elegant Circles” by Christine Barnes. From RJR , we have purchased Robyn Pandolph’s new line called “World of Romance”. We will have a medallion pattern that is perfect for these fabric’s. From Riley Blake, we are receiving a line of red shirtings that will be excellent for your 1800’s quilts. From Anna Griffin, Cori Dantini’s new sewing theme line is reminiscent of her very popular lines from last season and should be arriving soon. Clothworks is sending us the entire collection of “Friends in Wild Places”, a nursery line with charming birds, pandas and the cutest foxes. Coming from Moda another French General line is arriving. Hopefully, it will fill out your existing collection of this wonderful series or be a great opportunity to start new one. Also, we are anxiously awaiting Minnick & Simpson’s “Crazy for Reds”. If you liked their previous collections, you’re going to love this one! We are currently concentrating on building up our basics. This year we have been filling them in with beautiful tone on tones. Soon we will have the perfect fabric to make your quilt come to life. For those of you who are on the Modern kick, we have accumulated a large selection of solids . Our favorite line is “MADE IN AMERICA”. It has a wonderful hand and comes in a large selection of colors . We have received every single bolt made and they are flying out the door. We also have a nice selection of books with Modern Quilt themes to help make your dream quilt a reality. From Andover, we are getting “Jo’s Best Friends” to add to our ever expanding collection of Civil War fabrics. As per usual, we receive at least 20 bolts per month of BATIKS and they are out of control. They have escaped their previous boundaries, and have traveled outside their designated space. Help! They are just asking for you to take some home. Christmas fabrics are also in abundance and will be on sale after the holidays. Not to forget, our extensive sale area, full of 25% to 50% off textiles. They will be perfect for an inexpensive back, a perfect focus fabric, a great background, or for one of your many charity quilts. Happy Holidays to all — Elaine, Pat, Carol, Pam, Dawn, Diane, Donna, Lindsay, Ellen, Patty, Debbie, Peggy, Diane, and Jean
