Quilting K-101 Project 2016 Summer Road Trip - Kid Friendly, Beginner's 9 Patch Quilt
Sewing Machine Well-oiled and in good working order New machine needles Standard or 1/4 inch foot Sewing Supplies Straight pins Dedicated Fabric scissors - very sharp - never ever used for paper (or anything else) Blue painter's tape Seam ripper (we rip what we sew 1 or 2 colors of Tailor's Chalk (contrasting w/fabric choices) 1 - 6"x12" or 6"x24" or 12" or larger square quilter's ruler (in order of preference - but we'll make do) Small quilter's ruler (optional) Thread - neutral color or match to fabric choices Fabric Fabrics can be brought into class or chosen and purchased 1st day of class 1 1/2 yards Focus Fabric 1/2 yards each 3 contrasting Accent Fabrics (or 3/4 each 2 contrasting colors) Optional Boarder: 1 yd for each boarder (less for narrower boarders) Optional Spray Starch - heavy or fuerte
