The 5-race series will host race events across the entire LAMBRA region during the months of October, November and December with the final race serving as the District Championships from which we will crown not only the champions of our district but also the series’ points champions in their respective categories. DSGP is the first large-scale race series of its kind to be organized and promoted in the Louisiana / Mississippi region, and shall serve to introduce riders to the discipline of ‘cross racing and expose them to the energy, enthusiasm and fun of this quintessentially “European” style of racing.

SERIES RULES & REGULATIONS Delta States Grand Prix will be held in compliance with all appropriate USAC rules regulating cyclocross specifically and domestic competitive cycling in general. In addition, the following series specific rules and regulations apply.

1. Points transfer from category to upgrade category on a 1:1 basis. 2. Helmets must be worn on course. 3. No bar ends per USAC rules. 4. A rider may enter a second race in the same day and only pay $10 on top of original entry fee to race second race. 5. All disputes and protests with respect to results and placings must be submitted to race officials within 15 minutes of the posting of final results. 6. Series Championships count for double points. All racers must race the series championships to be considered in competition for series points. Series placement, prizes, and points will be announced and rewarded @ podium of series championships. Series placement will be determined by combined score of best points from 4 races in the 5 race series, with all ties being decided by rider result in the series championships.

SCORING GRID We are using the USAC upgrade points scoring and category system to determine a racer’s category. In the cases of combined or overlapping category races, consistently successful riders may be compelled to race the next higher combined category for which they are eligible (eg, someone who podiums in the Cat. 4/5 races could be moved up into the Cat. 4 races). A rider who podiums three times or wins twice will be required to race subsequent series races in the next highest category for which he is eligible. For example, a Cat. 4 rider racing in the Cat. 4/5 race may be required to race subsequent events in the Cat. 4 race.
