PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS PRE-EVENT INFORMATION ENTRIES

Your family and friends can still enter either: • Online at www.starttofinish.com.au (online entries close at 12:00 noon on Thursday, 4 December) • At the entries marquee: From 2pm Saturday, 6 December or on day from 5:45am

TRAINING CLINIC When: Saturday, 6 December, 2014

Check in from 2:45pm. Session starts at 3:00pm Where: Peter Scullin Reserve, Mordialloc The clinic focus will be on an introduction to triathlon, including transition setup, increasing your speed in transition and equipment needed. The clinic will show you how to setup your transition area and teach you techniques involved in mounting and dismounting your bike and how to speed up your 1st and 2nd transitions. Please bring necessary equipment, including: your bike, helment and shoes. The session will be taken by TRG Triathlon and Multisport. All levels of experience are welcome.

SCHOOLS AND CLUBS AREA

All Triathlon Schools and Clubs attending have been given the opportunity to set up their marquees in our schools and clubs area to use as a base for their team. To book a marquee please download the marquee form from our website.

ON- DAY INFORMATION EVENT WEEKEND REGISTRATION

All competitors can register as a late entrant on Saturday, 6 December from 2:00 – 4:00pm. This is also a great opportunity to have a look at the course, lay out of transition and where your bike will be placed on race day. Alternatively, competitors can register on event day from 5:45 – 6:25am for Mini, 5:45-7:05am for Sprint and 7:30-8:45am for Kids.

RACE KIT COLLECTION

Participants can pick up their race kit at the event site on Saturday, 6 December from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and on Sunday from 5:45am - 6:25am for the Mini distance and 5:45am - 7:05am for the Sprint distance. Series entrants will be able to pick up their Newline series jacket.

SERIES ENTRANTS

Please note that as a Series Entrant you must collect your timing band for Race 2 and return it after the Race. These can be collected from the Registration Marquee through the Series Express que.

TOILETS

Toilets are available at the end of the car park at Peter Scullin Reserve, on Pier Rd and on the event site near the Registration marquees.

PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS

CLOTHING DROP OFF

A bag drop will be located at the event site for storage of your clothing during the event. Please do not place any valuables in the bag drop area, as we can not accept the responsibility for valuables lost or stolen. There will also be a marquee on the beach to leave clothing whilst racing.

ROAD CLOSURE AND PARKING

Beach Road will be closed to all traffic (vehicles and cyclists) between the following times: Charman Road, Beaumaris to Nepean Highway, Mordialloc from 6:00am – 11:00am. Parking will be available at the Mordialloc Town Centre and on side streets. Please visit the website for full parking plan.

RACE MORNING CHECKLIST SERIES ENTRANTS

Please collect your timing band for Race 2 and return it after the Race. These can be collected from the Registration Marquee through the Series Express que.

SPRINT AND MINI TRIATHLON Collect your pre-packed race envelope that will contain: • A coloured security wrist-band

• A black velcro timing ankle-band with a timing chip attached • A bike & helmet security sticker • A swim cap and sponsor information

Please check your details printed on the sticker on the outside of your pack. If any of the information is incorrect, you MUST return to registration to amend your details; this will affect the accuracy of your results. Once you have your pack: 1. Walk over the timing mat with your timing band to check your wave start time. 2. Attach your security band to your wrist, allowing you access into transition. 3. Place your bike sticker on the centre of your handle bars/head stem and your helmet sticker on the RIGHT hand side of your helmet. 4. Attach your timing band around your ANKLE. Remember to hand the timing band in after the event. 5. Proceed to the arm numbering area where you will have your race number written on your RIGHT ARM and RIGHT THIGH and race category letter written on the back of your RIGHT CALF.

This can also be done yourself. Please use our website (www.starttofinish.com.au) for further reference. 6. Proceed to the bike compound, ensuring that your helmet is securely fastened and your security band is on in preparation for your security check. Find your race number on the bike racks to set up your bike and gear. You will find your sticker in your age group and then in alphabetical order. Those who entered after Thursday WILL NOT have an allocated bike spot and will need to rack their bike on the on day entries rack. 7. Attend the race briefing which will be held on the beach for the Mini and Sprint races.



8. We have full road closure, however be aware that cars may come onto the course and as always be aware of other cyclists on the road also.

KIDS TRI

Kids Tri Information will be available on a separate sheet at registration and on our website www.starttofinish.com. au.

POST-EVENT BLACK TIMING BANDS Everyone must return their timing bands at the finish line. REFRESHMENTS Refreshments will be available at the finish line. Each participant will receive an Emma & Tom’s bar and a cup of Nuun Hydration. MOCHA MONKEY Mocha Monkey will be serving coffee on site throughout the morning. RACE RESULTS Finish times and places will be up on our website www.starttofinish.com.au by 6:00pm Sunday. PRESENTATIONS AND SPOT PRIZES Spot Prizes will be given out randomly post-event to a lucky few. Age group medals are awarded to the top 3 place getters. Mini- Approximately 9.30-10am Sprint-Approximately 10-10.30am
