Raider Basketball Camp Volunteer Internship Positions Available Internship Volunteer Basketball Camp Counselor
Dates Session 1: June 19-22 (Hours: 8:45 am to 3:15 pm) Session 2: June 26-29 (Hours: 8:45 am to 3:15 pm)
Description This is a two-week unpaid, volunteer summer internship. During this internship volunteers will have the opportunity to work with students in grades 3 through 9 in a range of activities related to the Raider Basketball Camp. The hours of this internship are 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Duties and Responsibilities Each Volunteer Intern is assigned work in small groups with children for the entire program. The Volunteer Intern will mentor their campers and set a tone of excitement and team spirit for the week, facilitate activities as needed, help all participants engage in the experience, support participants in problem-solving and assist in providing a safe environment, as well as providing support in setting up and breaking down each day. It is often the role of an outstanding Volunteer Intern that makes the Raider Basketball Camp program experience most memorable for a program participant.
Qualifications
Engaging, optimistic, responsible, enthusiastic, helpful, and tolerant Interested in serving in a leadership capacity and developing leadership skills while playing and teaching basketball. Interested in athletics, health, leadership, education and/or basketball. Experience working with younger children Minimum entering sophomore year of high school
