! At this year’s golf tournament we will be honoring the 1993 Ball State football team. Ball State’s 1993 football team won the Mid-American Conference with a 7-0-1 league mark and posted an 8-3-1 overall record under the direction of head coach Paul Schudel.The Cardinals competed in the Las Vegas Bowl after winning the final four games of the regular season.! ! !

Elks  245  is  a  non  profit  organiza3on,  that   donates  to  cancer  research.  The  lodge   June 5, 2015 brings  so  much  more  to  our  communi3es   than  just  a  building,  golf  course  or  pool.   They  are  places  where  neighbors  come   together,  families  share  meals,  and   children  grow  up.   On  October  9th,  1993  the  Cardinals  trailed  Toledo   30-­‐3  in  the  4th  quarter.  They  went  on  to  score  28   unanswered  points  to  win  the  game  31-­‐30!

Head Football Coach Ball State University • Coach Lembo holds a career head coaching record of 109-56 in 14 seasons. • He is the first head coach in Ball State’s 90-year history to win 30 games in his first four seasons at the helm. • Ball State’s football program was recognized by the American Football Coaches Associate as one of only 13 schools in the country to graduate at least 90 percent of its student-athletes in the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate Report. • The football team tallied a 968 on the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate in 2011-2012, which was the highest in the MAC and the highest for a Ball State football team since the APR’s inception in 2003-2004. • In Coach Lembo’s four years, Ball State has set or tied 63 school records produced the all-time leading rusher and all-time leading passer in the 90-year history of the school’s football program. • One of eight active FBS head coaches to lead three different Division I programs to nine or more wins in a season. • Holds a Mid-American Conference record of 21-11. • Led Ball State to a 10-3 overall record in 2013, marking only the third time in the Cardinals’ 90 years of football with 10 or more wins in a single season. • Guided the Cardinals to bowl games in both 2012 and 2013, only the second time in school history the team has played in back-to-back bowl games. • Guided Ball State to four wins over Bowl Championship Series teams in his three years at Ball State, including victories at Virginia (ACC) in 2013, against Indiana (Big Ten), South Florida (Big East) in 2012 and against Indiana in 2011. • Has a .600 winning percentage through 50 games as Ball State’s head coach, which marks the best winning percentage in a coaching career for the Cardinals since 1967. • Led Elon to the 2009 Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs for the first time in the history of the program. • Led Lehigh to the 2001 and 2004 Patriot League Championships and berths in the FCS playoffs. • Has been named the Patriot League and Southern Conference Coach of the Year, along with the Eddie Robinson National Coach of the year.
