These personalized workflows support recovery outcomes that are repeatable, scalable, and documented to demonstrate compliance. Commvault workflow software capability is customized to the customer’s unique requirements and one personalized workflow activity can be used as corporate standard template. This offering is designed to help customers move quickly up the learning curve with workflow so they can reuse, embrace, and extend workflow automation while meeting immediate requirements for recovery assurance.

RECOVERY ASSURANCE The Recovery Assurance offering leverages proprietary workflow technologies that are native to the Commvault® software platform. Workflows are used to schedule and automate the process of copying production data to a secondary environment. 1 Recovery Assurance Objectives – Commvault leverages proven, proprietary workflow automation methodologies- that have been proven in some of our largest customer environments- to reliably automate the recovery process in numerous use cases. The most common are: • Development and Test Environment Data Refresh – Scheduled and automated restoration of current production data, copied into the Development and Testing environment • Recovery Testing – Scheduled, automated restoration of key business applications to the recovery environment, assuring dataset recoverability. This activity typically includes customized recovery validation reporting 2

• Application Recovery Validation – In addition to regular, automated recovery testing, applications are also tested and proven to function as intended. Using workflows, the application is powered-on at the target site and the application is functionally tested and validated to operate successfully with recovered datasets • Disaster Recovery Automation – DR Automation is a further extension of Application Recovery Validation where disaster recovery RPO and RTO requirements are demonstrated to match recovery frequency Commvault® workflow software automatically manages: a) the data protection process, scheduling regular copy processes locally or offsite, b) the restoration process to target equipment, and c) recovery test validation. 2 Recovery Assurance Project Flow – The engagement process is designed to optimize communications, speed delivery, and eliminate disruptions. These major project milestones are part of e engagement and will be actively managed by a Commvault® Project Manager • Scope – Identify applications and map business and technical requirements to the appropriate use cases. Agree on scope and finalize the Statement of Work (SOW) • Define – Take functional requirements and design the workflow(s) • Build – Build the workflow(s) in a lab, demonstrate functionality and make adjustments as needed

Through a tightly integrated combination of people, processes and technologies, Commvault delivers support that customers trust to optimize operations, meet stringent service levels, achieve professional success and realize the full value of their data — regardless of time or location.

• Deploy – Deploy workflow(s) in the customer’s environment, test and finalize reporting 3 Application Agent Workflows – Oracle, MS SQL, SAP, Filesystem, NAS, MS SharePoint are the environments most often part of an engagement. Other applications may require additional scoping efforts 4 Automated Recovery Platforms – Commvault® software workflows are used to automate the recovery between physical, Microsoft Hyper-V, EMC VMware, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon AWS environments • Physical to Physical (P2P) – Recovery from one physical server to another physical server asset • Physical to Virtual (P2V) – Recovery from physical servers to supported virtual server assets • Virtual to Virtual (V2V) – Recovery between disparate virtual server platforms • Physical/Virtual to Cloud (P2C, V2C) – Recovery from physical or virtual servers to supported cloud vendors

KEY SERVICE COMPONENTS AND BENEFITS COMPONENT

BENEFIT

Identify Target Applications

Commvault experts explore the applications in need of recovery automation and application validation. The result is a prioritized understanding of applications that are most impactful to the business.

Determine Functional Requirements

Seasoned Technology Consultants work with your application owners to identify the exact scope and technical requirements so that Recovery Assurance workflows can be optimized, reused, and improved over time.

Explore Custom Reporting Needs

Customers can use standard Commvault reporting or have Technology Consultants create personalized reporting in order to meet specific business or regulatory needs.

Technical Support

Finding the root cause to support issues is often accelerated by an onsite Commvault expert with the training and experience that only a Commvault Resident Support Engineer brings to bear. This same RSE can then rapidly implement any updates and ensure support issues are resolved satisfactorily.

Build and Test Workflows

As part of the standard engagement process, our consultant will regularly share process and demonstrate functionality to ensure that the expected outcomes and functional requirements are being achieved in a timely manner.

Finalize and Deploy

The engagement team will deploy workflows in the customer environment, conduct production testing and conduct knowledge transfer with your technical resources. This ensures that the Recovery Assurance solution will function reliably and can be updated when necessary.
