Embroidered Sweatshirt Jacket Workshop Supply List During this 2 part workshop we will many fun techniques for converting a plain sweatshirt into a one of a kind embellished jacket. In the first class we will place and stitch out designs on at least one side of your sweatshirt. You will need to select designs that are not too dense and that will lend themselves to the shaping of your neckline. First class supplies:

Designs
Please select designs that have no more than 10 color changes, and take no more than 60—to 75 minutes to stitch out. Floral designs that are not bullet-proof are great for this project—i.e. Anita Goodesign Asian Fusion, Designer Roses, POSHabilities, Bernina Contemporary Borders & Motifs by Claire Schaeffer, or any comparable designs. Please print templates of your designs to aid in placement.
Sweatshirt Your should purchase a good quality sweatshirt that is preferably made from 80 % cotton & 20% polyester (or a similar blend). Fabric options: Fabric—1/2 yd. for collar/cuff lining Fabric—3/4 yd. for bias trim Fabric—1/2 yd. polyester organza for appliqué embroidery.
Second class: You will need to do some homework before the second class.
Your embroidery should be completed.
Your collar and cuffs should be cut out and interfaced.
If you know how to make bias binding it will speed up the constructions of your jacket if the bias is cut and ready to sew when you arrive at class.
We will plan on finishing as much of the construction as possible in the second workshop. Plan to bring the following sewing supplies:
Sewing machine, Power Cord and Foot Control Presser Feet—Regular Sewing Foot, Edge Stitching Foot, Darning or Embroidery Foot Straight Pins Thread snips or Embroidery Scissors Metrosene Polyester 100 wt. Sewing Thread—color to match sweatshirt 2 bobbins wound to match top thread.
