The reasons for this are simple. An organized clear mind (Quiet Mind) leads to clear and objective goals, which in turn leads to you being able to achieve what you set out to do. A critical first step then in staying organized is to set up a system of resource planning that includes who what when where and priority that allows you to plan out your time effectively, and allocate where you

are going to spend it. In short this means such steps as getting a day planner or creating “Your Master List” so that you can plan ahead and “Quiet Your Mind”. Different areas of your life may require you to use different tools such as, getting appropriate stationary systems and office space in place, or getting yourself a filing cabinet or a computer, or at the very least some kind of filing system! Your daily objectives will determine what is appropriate. Do you have a system to record and track the things you need to accomplish?
It would certainly be true to say that staying organized then is not something that lots of people do naturally! At first it can even seem slightly stifling, especially if you are used to just going with the flow of what each day brings. In truth this is ok. It Is good to be spontaneous on occasions, but in general it is vital to plan out what you need to do in a particular time frame, because otherwise it is all to easy to simply become distracted! Being organized mean that you have a working “life compass”. No matter where you are in life or what you are faced with you have a system in place that will see you through the situation and get your life back on course toward success. All of us know this to be true if we think about it from the viewpoint of our own lives. For example, when we surf the web we find ourselves flitting between sites, and before you know it a couple of hours have past! Now, don't get me wrong. That is one of the joys of the internet, and of life in general. But it is nevertheless a time stealer that staying focused and staying organized could have helped to negate. Have a system in place that helps you to prioritize the things that you want to accomplish whether they be simple tasks, big goals, little goals, short term or long term goals. Do you have a system in place that helps you to continually prioritize the things that you want to accomplish whether they be simple tasks, big goals, little goals, short term or long term goals? So then am I saying that Staying Organized should mean robbing you of the juice of life, the freedom to do what you want when you want? Robbing you of the spontaneity? NO! NO! NO! For me the exact opposite is true. Staying organized is about finishing the day's tasks and having crammed far more good stuff in! It allows me the time to do more of the things I feel are important, while avoiding the stress and aggravation of dropping the ball on things that need to get done. In short, it is the exact opposite of a spoil sport! In fact, staying organized means doing more of the things that are truly important to you.
Are you able to do all of the things you want and still accomplish all of the things you need to do on a daily basis? Being organized means that you will more often communicate the things you want and expect out of life to yourself and others on a regular basis so that you and they can analyze that your wants and needs are being met effectively. Spend some time reflecting on how you prepare to go about your day. Concentrate on getting to know your own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to managing time and organizing. Many people need assistance in organizing simple because……. organizing is a skill. If you have not had a lot f of experience with organizing its ok you are not alone. Few people have ever been
