Event details The Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales, is running a series of short workshops, for faith-based organisations, to help them to register as charities. The events are free to attend. Lunch and refreshments will be provided – please make sure you let us know your dietary requirements. A prayer room will also be available on both days. We will cover the following topics: 1. Registering as a charity; benefits, opportunities and legal requirements. 2. Registering your faith organisation – practical steps. 3. Charity Commission – how we can support you. We are dedicated to making the event informative, relevant and interesting; therefore there will be opportunities for discussion and questions throughout the event. Who should attend? The workshops are specifically intended for those running faith organisations, such as Churches, Temples, Mosques, Religious Centres and other faith-based organisations, which are not yet registered as charities. It will also be beneficial for those who are looking to set up faith based organisations as charities. How do I sign up? Please use our online booking system http://bookwhen.com/charitycommission (CLICK to access) If you have difficulty with this, please email [email protected] or call Tamsin on 0300 065 2116 and let her know which workshop you would like to attend, the names of those attending, your organisation’s name and any special requirements of your party e.g. hearing loop, wheelchair access. We will then send joining instructions, including directions and the full agenda to all attendees in advance. We will allocate places on a first come, first served basis, so book early to avoid disappointment. (Don’t forget to tell us your dietary or other special requirements when booking).
