EDEN CUP Men's Junior (U20) Foil FIE Category 'A' The Eden Cup is open to all male foilists, foreign and British nationals possessing a current FIE Licence and born on or after 1 January 1989, who are selected by their National Federations in accordance with the FIE quota for entries to A Grade events. Please note – the Hotel and Venue are in the South of London. Transport to central London takes 30 minutes by train. (East Croydon to London Victoria takes 20 minutes) Saturday 18th October 2008 Whitgift School, Sports Centre, Haling Park, Nottingham Road, South Croydon, CR2 6YT The nearest stations are South Croydon and East Croydon (take a taxi to the school). The nearest airport is London Gatwick and from here take the train to East Croydon. If coming from London Heathrow, take the Piccadilly underground line to Hammersmith, change on to the District Line to Victoria and then take the over-ground train to East Croydon. The fare from Heathrow to East Croydon is £10. (London Victoria to East Croydon is 20 minutes) By car, from the M25 take either Junction 6 and then follow the A22 to Purley or take Junction 7 and take the A23 to Purley. 1)Date: 2)Venue:

Entry Fee: The entry fee of 10 euros, 15 USD or £8 sterling must be paid on arrival.

Publicity: The FIE Publicity Code will be strictly enforced.

FIE Rules: The Competition will run in accordance with the FIE Rules for Competitions. The Directoire Technique will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules.

11) Referees: Each country is required to send referees in accordance with FIE requirements (Rules o.81). The British Fencing Association cannot book hotels for delegations. Special rates have been negotiated at the designated event hotel: The Croydon Park Hotel (4*). Single rooms are £70 per night bed and breakfast and twin rooms are £85 (£42.50 per person) per night bed and breakfast. The hotel has a swimming pool and leisure centre. 13) Transport: A shuttle will run between the Croydon Park Hotel and the Venue, before and after the event. After the Final on Saturday a bus will leave from the venue to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. Seats on this must be booked when checking in at the event hotel. A bus will leave for Gatwick and Heathrow Airports after the final of the Leon Paul Cup on Sunday. Seats on this must be booked when checking in at the event hotel.
