LEON PAUL CUP Mens’Foil FIE Satellite Event The Leon Paul Cup is open to all male foilists, both foreign and British nationals possessing a current FIE Licence. This event is appointed by the FIE as a satellite World Cup tournament. The final 8 will be awarded World Cup points Please note: the hotel and venue are in South London. Transport to central London takes 30 minutes by train. (East Croydon to London Victoria approx. 20 minutes) Sunday 18th October 2009 Whitgift School, Sports Centre, Haling Park, Nottingham Road, South Croydon, CR2 6YT The nearest stations are South Croydon and East Croydon (take a taxi to Whitgift School). The nearest airport is London Gatwick and from here take the train to East Croydon. From London Heathrow airport, take the Piccadilly underground line to Hammersmith, change on to the District Line to Victoria, and then take the train to East Croydon. Publicity: The FIE Publicity Code will be strictly enforced.

FIE Rules: The Competition will run in accordance with the FIE Rules for Competitions. The Directoire Technique will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules.

Referees: Each country is required to send referees in accordance with FIE requirements. The names of referees, together with their FIE Category, must be emailed to the British Fencing Association (
[email protected]) seven days before the event. (With 5-9 fencers 1 FIE Referee must be sent, 10 or more fencers requires 2 FIE Referees to be sent.)

Accommodation: Booking accommodation is the responsibility of the visiting teams. The British Fencing Association cannot book hotels for delegations. Special rates have been negotiated at the event hotel: The Croydon Park Hotel (4*).
Singles are £77 per night bed and breakfast and twins are £89 (£42.50 per person) per night bed and breakfast. The hotel has a swimming pool and leisure centre.
