Peer Review Committees
Elected by Probationary and Tenured Faculty Tenured full-time faculty are eligible to serve on PRC Tenured faculty being considered for promotion are ineligible to serve on PRC for Promotion and Tenure evaluations. Evaluator must be of higher rank than candidate for promotion evaluations Faculty can only serve on one level of review for a candidate Academic Personnel
PRC Procedures
Evaluators review PAF and WPAF and sign Logs Classroom Visitation (5 day prior notice and follow up consultation) Provide written evaluation to candidate Candidate has 10 days to submit a rebuttal statement/response or to request a meeting PRC considers rebuttal statement or response and may modify recommendation Completed recommendation and rebuttal is sent to next level of review Academic Personnel

General Provisions for Tenure and Promotion
Those eligible for promotion or requesting early promotion or tenure need to notify the Dean in writing prior to October 12th. Normally Tenure and Promotion to Associate Professor is concurrent. In exceptional cases, early promotion to Associate Professor is permissible while in probationary status. Tenure is required for promotion to Full Professor PRC, DC/DH, College PRC, and Dean must rank all promotion requests. Academic Personnel
