Financial Operations
Balance Sheets As of Jan 31, cash was at $1,238,145 due primarily to a large Unipay payment form PDE for Philadelphia School District tuition. The current ration, a measure of the school’s ability to meet current payment obligations, was at 2.0 meaning Budget to Actual – Year to Year Comparison As of Jan 31 (58% of the way through the fiscal year) total revenues were at 53% of budget and total expenses were at 58% of budget, resulting in a net loss of $217,279. Revenues are lower than budget for three reasons: 1) State income is not expected until year-end; 2) Federal grant distributions were deleted but will caught up but spring; and 3) The national school lunch program had a hold on our account during its annual review and corrective action process. The hold was recently removed and meal reimbursements should be being the month of February, though we may be unable to recoup payment for the month of Sep, Oct, and Nov 2016. We are working with PDE to get more information. V.

Ratify New Employee L. Jones Presents: Employment of Teacher D.R. All BOT members agreed, ratify. Plumbing Issues L Jones Presented: Water Department pushing to cut water off, RAPCS needs new heater - Wale asked, about the impact on the school - L Jones: will take care Monday, meter in the back - Significant leakage from Boiler and over flow ( or release valve) of the Circulation pump, valve of the water meter, first Plumber proposed 10,000, - L. Jones checked with Attorney said ok with no hot water. There after Jones went to second source Drain cure, to look at back end, Drain Cure explained the entire system does not need to be replaced. Cost will not exceed $3,500. Drain cure. Will replace and add 1 year warranty - Wale asked, how many days will it take - Richardson explained, it will take 1 day Approved by all members of Board. VI.
