Dear Parent/Guardian, First of all, let me say: Thank you. Thank you for your tireless support of your child at RHPS. Through open houses, parent-teacher meetings, school supplies, after-school activities, and everything else that happens at the beginning of the school year, you have shown your commitment to giving your child the best possible education. As we partner with you here at RHPS for the education of your child, I want you to know that your commitment does not go unnoticed. It is partly because of the busy lives we all lead that I am writing. As you know, RHPS, traditionally supports many great charities. In order to keep with our tradition, we have designated 1st Fridays as a way to support our selected charities. Each month you will receive a reminder that will include the name of the designated charity for that month. We ask that on the donation day you send in $1.00. Donations of any amount will be accepted, no donation is too small. Like I said, we’ve considered many options, in the end, however, we felt that the parents at RHPS have all given so much of their time already, the easiest and most convenient way to support many charities would be to just lay it at the parents’ feet and ask if we can all work together to share in the support of these charities. September 1st October 6th November 3rd December 1st
January 12th February 2nd March 2nd April 13th
Our first “1st Friday” for charity is on Friday, September 1st, and will be DRESS LIKE A PIRATE day. Our donations for September will go to United Way. I want to end this letter by thanking you again.
