RMAC Women’s Cross Country Week 4 September 21, 2011 RMAC Women’s Runner of the Week Kelsey Follett Colorado Mesa Senior Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins HS Follett finished second among NCAA Division II competitors at the UC Riverside Invitational 5K race with a time of 18:15. Colorado Mesa finished fourth overall and first among NCAA Division II schools.

Adams State College Top Runner: Kelly Lamb (Sophomore, Creede, Colo./Creede High School) Lamb was the top runner for the second consecutive week for the Grizzlies. She won the 6,000-meter Colorado College Invitational on Sept. 17 with a time of 22:24. Team Notes: The Grizzlies only sent two runners to the Colorado College Invitational. They will send a full squad to this weekend’s Mountaineer Classic, hosted by Western State College.
Colorado Christian University Top Runner: Jackie Tramp (Freshman, Green River, Wyo./Green River HS) Tramp, competing in her first collegiate meet, won the Tom Strandt Memorial Invitational with a time of 18:43 on the 6K course. Tramp finished over a minute-and-a-half in front of the second-place runner.

Colorado State University-Pueblo Top Runner: Nicole Reveles (Freshman, Gilbert, Ariz./Mesquite HS) Reveles, a true freshman, ran in her first collegiate race and was the top finisher for the ThunderWolves at the Colorado College Women’s Invitational 6K on Sept. 17. Reveles finished 18th overall with a time of 25:35.
Fort Lewis College Top Runner: Helen Smith (Junior, Westerville, Ohio/Worthington HS) Smith placed second at the Tom Strandt Memorial Run on Sept. 16. She finished the 6K course in 20:12 and led her team to a second-place finish in the team standings.
Metropolitan State College of Denver. Team Notes: Metro State did not compete last week. The Roadrunners will compete next in the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 24.
New Mexico Highlands University Team Notes: New Mexico Highlands took part in the Texas Tech Open on Sept. 16 and finished sixth in the team standings. Leading the way on the 5K course was Kristine Kaneichi, who placed 22nd overall with a time of 20:49.
Regis University Top Runner: Lauren Policky (Sophomore, Salida, Colo./Salida HS) Policky finished sixth at the Colorado College Invitational 6K with a time of 24:09, helping Regis finish second in the team standings. Team Notes: Regis had its top seven runners all finish in the top-20, and the team finished second in the team standings.

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Top Runner: Samantha Bauer (Freshman, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) Bauer finished 12th at the Colorado College Invitational 6K on Sept. 17 with a time of 24:51, leading her team to a thirdplace finish.
University of Nebraska at Kearney Team Notes: Nebraska-Kearney opened its season at the Woody Greeno-Nebraska Cross Country Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. Out of 17 collegiate teams, UNK finished sixth.
Western New Mexico University Team Notes: Western New Mexico did not compete last week. They will compete next at the Rocky Mountain Shootout on Oct. 1.
