2012 State Mountain Bike Championship Series
ROMAN NOSE STATE PARK, WATONGA, OK , a part of the Tour de Dirt presented by Geax CATEGORY - DISTANCE - START - AWARDS - COST 1/Expert/PRO - 22.5 Miles - 11:30 am - 100% Payout - $30 2/Sport/SS - 15 Miles - 10:00 am - Trophies - $30 3/Beginner - 7.5 Miles - 9:00am - Trophies - $25 ***Cat 1 19-39 will start same time & be combined for payout and awards (will be separated for scoring)*** Race categories and age divisions per TdD guidelines. All Cat 1 riders must have an annual USAC MTB license. Cat 2/3 riders may compete with a one-day USAC MTB license at the event. Cat 1 & 2 are required to have annual license to earn TdD points. Race held under USAC permit number 2012-990. Further licensing rules and guidelines can be found @ www.usacycling.org & www.tourdedirt.org.
Course Description: All races will be held on the same 7.5 mile course which is comprised of 95% fast rolling singletrack in hilly terrain with some rock gardens, technical sections, and short steep climbing.
Registration: Online at www.usacycling.org. Online registration is preferred Race Day Registration starts at 7:30 am and closes 30 minutes prior to start times. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Please allow time to acquire race number and complete the registration process. Promoter reserves the right to adjust start time, mileage, and cancel/combine events.
Race Numbers: A one-time $5 Tour De Dirt fee for your personal number plate to be used at all TdD races in 2012 is required to race. Number plates are available at all TdD events and racers must present them to register.
Driving Directions: From I-40 Take the Geary Exit and North through Geary to Watonga. At the light in Watonga continue straight and follow the signs to Roman Nose State Park. Once in the park take a right toward the Horse Stables & Camping areas. Registration and Start area will be near the General Store. PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COMBINE OR CHANGE CLASSES, TIMES, OR THE COURSE TO ENSURE A GREAT EVENT & BETTER COMPETITION. For more information please contact Christian Combs at [email protected].
