Rouse High School Swim Booster Club Officer Board Meeting Minutes Jan. 11, 2016 Call to Order Officer Board meeting called to order by Ken Demoski at 6:05pm on January 11, 2016 at the Rouse High School Athletic Hall.
Attendance Board members in attendance: Ken Demoski, Dianne Szabo, Lenna Crosby, Jayme Ingram and Peter Grady Sponsor: Other members in attendance: Special guests in attendance: Coach Mann
Approval of minutes from last meeting December minutes were approved on January 11, 2016.
New Business A) Treasurer’s Report a. Checking: $7,634.68 b. Savings: $277.47 c. Total: $7,912.15 B) Budget/Expenditure a. Swim equipment, extra warm-ups and coach’s jacket are still on hold. b. Expenditures: i. Thanksgiving—$94.66 was spent on food and drinks for team Thanksgiving dinner. ii. Christmas—approximately $150 was spent on food and drinks for the team Christmas party. iii. Towels—to have towels embroidered for Regionals it will cost about $16 a towel. Total $300 iv. Banquet--$500 deposit was made to Avery Ranch Golf Club for the End of the Year Banquet. 1. Boosters voted to up the banquet budget from $500 to $700. c. Budget: i. TISCA room and meals was taken off the expenditure list due to the fact that we did not swim at TISC this year. ii. District shirts will cost $26 per shirt. Boosters voted to have the swimmers only pay $10 a shirt. Boosters voted on a $600 budget for shirt purchase. 1. Parents, family and all others will pay the full price of $26 per shirt. iii. $50 of the Spirit Committee budget is still available for the purchase of snacks for Regionals. iv. Boosters will off-set the cost of meals for swimmers during Regionals and State. 1. Waiting on Coach Ramsey to give us a proposed amount.
C) Districts a. Boosters will discuss with parents options for lunch during the general meeting. i. Bring your own lunch, eat on the bus or provide during the meet. b. Boosters would like to pay for team dinner after Friday night’s District meet. i. We are looking into restaurants off of I35 that can accommodate 40+ people around 8pm. Old Business D) Membership and Merchandise a. District Shirts: i. Jayme Ingram had the swimmers vote on the color for their District shirts. Maroon won over white by a landslide. 1. Email will be sent to swimmers for their shirt sizes. 2. Jayme will order them by the end of the week. Shirts have a 2 week turn around. ii. Swimmers will be able to purchase their shirts for $10 each and family members will have the opportunity to purchase shirts if they like, for the full $26 per shirt. b. Regional towels: Jayme Ingram has purchased towels for those swimmers who advance to Regionals. They will be embroidered with the Rouse swim logo and name of the swimmer. E) Approved by Board a. Board approved to raise the budget of the banquet from $500 to $700. b. Board approved the purchase of District shirts ($600). c. Board approved to sell the District shirts to swimmers for $10 per shirt.
Next Meeting The next officer board meeting will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 starting at 6:30pm at the home of Ken Demoski.
