Rouse High School Swim Booster Club Officer Board Meeting Minutes Feb. 1, 2016 Call to Order Officer Board meeting called to order by Ken Demoski at 6:05pm on February 1, 2016 at the Rouse High School classroom of Coach Blanchett.

Approval of minutes from last meeting January minutes were approved on February 1, 2016.
New Business A) Treasurer’s Report: Peter Grady was not in attendance to give a treasurer’s report. B) Budget/Expenditure a. Swim equipment, extra warm-ups and coach’s jacket are still on hold. b. Expenditures: i. District Meal--$450 was budgeted and $427.62 was spent. ii. District Shirts—$700 was budgeted; $1000 was spent on shirts & $336 was collected from swimmers/family members. $664 was total spent after money was collected. c. Budget: i. Regionals—boosters had originally budgeted $600 to supplement the swimmers (who advance to Regionals) meals. 1. The board approved to up the budget to $1400; Main reason for raise was 16 swimmers were going. ii. State—if swimmers advance to State, the boosters approved $100 budget to supplement their meals. iii. Banquet—boosters had originally budgeted $500 for the event (to cover swimmer meals, rental of facility and decorations). 1. The board approved to up the budget to $1000. $500 was used as a down payment. $220 of the other $500 is reserved for swimmers’ meals. 2. Banquet Committee will have $280 to use towards decorations. C) Regionals a. 16 swimmers, 2 coaches and a bus driver will be heading to Regionals on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016. i. Swimmers will not have practice that morning. They may leave their bags in Coach Blanchett’s room during school hours. ii. Bus will arrive at Rouse High School at 2:30pm
1. Spirit Committee will decorate the bus and give out goodie bags to swimmers prior to the 3:30pm departure time. iii. Towels will be given to swimmers at time of departure from Rouse. D) Google Storage a. Storage space for swim pictures is running out. i. Dianne will contact Google to see if we can pay a yearly fee instead of the $2 a month fee. 1. Board will vote once Dianne contacts Google. E) Star Hockey Game a. The board approved to do a Star Hockey Game Spirit Night. i. Swimmers will get in free. Everyone else can purchase tickets for $15 each. 1. We will have a special area to sit together as a team. ii. The proposed date is Tuesday, March 29, 2016. 1. Swimmers will go on the ice prior to game to present the American flag & have their picture taken. Old Business F) Banquet a. Avery Ranch Country Club: Monday, February 29, 2016 from 6:30-9:30pm i. The Banquet Committee will start preparing next week. 1. Dianne Szabo has already started working on the slide show. 2. Invitations need to go out by February 8, 2016. a. Avery Ranch needs a head count within 1-2 weeks of banquet date. G) Approved by Board a. Board approved to raise the budget of the banquet from $500 to $1000. b. Board approved the raise the budget for Regionals meals from $600 to $1400. c. Board approved to have a spirit night during a Star Hockey game in March.
