Transfer - Second Reading Kurt & Christa Healy and children, Jacob and Kaytlin, are transferring from Woodburn Community SDA Church in Oregon to the Nampa SDA Church. Thank You - We wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation, the many expressions of love, kindness, and support shown to the Richards and Christensen families during this time of bereavement. Thank you to all who helped set up, clean up, or just comforted us with your presence. We thank you for your continued prayers during this hard and sad time. Thank you! October Special Prayer Focus - 31 days of prayer and Idaho Prayer Conference which will be held the first weekend in November. Guest Dinner - We welcome our guests to join us for lunch today immediately following our 11:15 service. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall. Model Car Show - There will be a “Car Modeler’s Club Event” in the fellowship hall tomorrow, beginning at 10:00 am. The trophy presentation will be at 4:00 pm. For any of you model car enthusiasts, you won’t want to miss this. Calvin Taylor Concert Pianist - Calvin will present a piano concert at 7:00 pm on Monday evening, October 10, 2016 at the Meridian Seventh-day Adventist Church. A piano workshop is also available. Please see bulletin board for further information. Church Board Meeting - Our monthly church board meeting will be held, this next Wednesday evening, October 12 at 7:00 pm, in the fellowship hall. Please remember to keep our church leadership in your prayers as we discuss church matters. Hope Trending - A crash course on how to live without fear will be presented by Dwight Nelson on October 14-22 at www.hopetrending.org. We encourage you to consider hosting this in your home. Young Adults Group - We are starting a young adult group! If you are 18 - 35 yrs old, single or married and have not started a family yet, then this is the group for you! Our first meeting will be here in the fellowship hall at 6:00 pm next Saturday night, on October 15th. We want to spend some time getting to know each other and we can eat together. We will bring pancakes, butter and syrup. We invite you to bring anything else you might want to have/share with friends! Crop Hunger Walk October 16 - 25% of the funds collected, stay in Canyon County for the local food banks. You can walk without donating, or donate without walking. You may pledge on the sign-up sheets in the foyer or donate online at crophungerwalk.org. Something Different - “Your Story Hour” is offering a pack of 50 story CDs, for a fee, that you can give to the children who might come to your door this month. This may be a great alternative. Call 800-987-7879 for more information. Idaho’s 2nd Annual Prayer Conference - November 4-6. Please see insert for more information. Attention All Veterans and Active Military Personnel CAES is wanting to recognize you for the contribution you have and are making to each of us. They will be presenting a special program on November 11th. If you are or have been in the military, please see the pastor after the service. Community Service Center Needs - With cooler temperatures here, we are in need of warmer clothing, especially men’s sweaters of all sizes. Grocery bags are always a help too.
