Same Day...Different Meets This past Saturday found the girls team at the highly competitive Palatine Invite. Nicole Alfano was the top finisher for the Lancers finishing a medal winning 25th place. Maggie Jung ran a huge PR and led the way for the JV girls. Bea Tinga was also able to make her varsity debut! The girls are back in action this Saturday at St. James Farm in Winfield at the Wheaton North flight meet. The boys competed in Janesville, Wisconsin. This is one of the oldest meets in the country at 76 years and running. This race is also a 5k as opposed to a 3 mile race like our runners are used to, and it is run entirely on a golf course. This meet provided some Lancers a shot a varsity race experience. The top 5 finishers for the Lancers included Ryan Mack, Dave Fitzgerald, Sam, Jacob and Will Troyke. At the Frosh/Soph level the team was led by freshman Jason Joda. The rest of the top 5 included Alex Caines, Robert Kincanon, Will Dover and Jacob Pacione. The Open team was led by frosh Billy Murphy and he was followed by John Bradley, Viktor Ampulski, Ethan Guerra and Brandon Mueller. The boys team race this Saturday at the Niles West “Pat Savage” Invite where the Lancers are the defending champions at the varsity and frosh/soph levels.
