Second Saturday Every year we do what’s called Second Saturday. It starts in January and runs all year. Basically if you buy the first block, make it and come back with it the following month you will receive the next block free!! We have a great time showing new product, demoing how to make the block, and seeing all the show and tell. It is a high energy, fun time! The quilt pictured below is what we are working on this year. The fun part is the book has 7 different sampler quilts that you can make from these blocks, so the possibilities are endless! Its not too late if you want to join in , or just come and see what it is all about so you can be ready for next year. We are sure that you are all anxious to see what we have planned for next year, so come in November and we will be ready to show you the new project!!!
Beginning Foundation Paper Piecing INSTRUCTOR: DANA CURTIS

The Tell Me a Story quilt is made with 6" squares foundation paper pieced around a 3½" fussy cut center square. It is such a fun quilt to make and can be made as a baby quilt, lap quilt for special occasions or holidays, or just for fun. We’ll make as many squares as possible during class and you’ll have plenty of instruction to enable you to complete your quilt at home. Select fun fabrics with interesting motifs for your center square. For example, you might find a fabric with a small pie you can fussy cut and frame it with cherries. Halloween fabrics would be a good choice also. Cut out motifs of spiders or witches hats, etc. Sign up soon and have some fun!!!

In June we started the Art to Heart Block-of-the-Month. The Blockof-the-Month celebrates uplifting words to inspire you throughout the year! No commitment to the whole year! Just pick up the blocks you want to make or have us mail them to you! Make the blocks into a super cute quilt or make them into mini quilts that you rotate throughout the year! Since we started in June we will be completing our last block in May.

No that is not dynamite but Thread Needle and Tension. We rethread sewing machines daily for women that have been sewing since they were knee high to a grasshopper. Presser foot up when you thread a sewing machine. When the presser foot lifter is up the tension unit is open and better able to receive the thread. Prior to threading the needle drop the presser foot lifter. There should be a good amount of resistance when you pull the upper thread. Shouldn’t break the thread but should have some good tension. When in doubt change your needle, it is hard to tell if the needle has been damaged with the naked eye. Lastly, understand how to make an upper thread tension adjustment on your machine, increasing or decreasing your upper tension will get the stitch right where you want it.

If you must cancel a class registration, you must notify us no later than one (1) week prior to the class date. Second Saturday Every year we do what’s called Second Saturday. It starts in January and runs all year. Basically if you buy the first block, make it and come back with it the following month you will receive the next block free!! We have a great time showing new product, demoing how to make the block, and seeing all the show and tell. It is a high energy, fun time! The quilt pictured below is what we are working on this year. The fun part is the book has 7 different sampler quilts that you can make from these blocks, so the possibilities are endless! Its not too late if you want to join in , or just come and see what it is all about so you can be ready for next year. We are sure that you are all anxious to see what we have planned for next year, so come in November and we will be ready to show you the new project!!!
Beginning Foundation Paper Piecing INSTRUCTOR: DANA CURTIS

The Tell Me a Story quilt is made with 6" squares foundation paper pieced around a 3½" fussy cut center square. It is such a fun quilt to make and can be made as a baby quilt, lap quilt for special occasions or holidays, or just for fun. We’ll make as many squares as possible during class and you’ll have plenty of instruction to enable you to complete your quilt at home. Select fun fabrics with interesting motifs for your center square. For example, you might find a fabric with a small pie you can fussy cut and frame it with cherries. Halloween fabrics would be a good choice also. Cut out motifs of spiders or witches hats, etc. Sign up soon and have some fun!!!

No that is not dynamite but Thread Needle and Tension. We rethread sewing machines daily for women that have been sewing since they were knee high to a grasshopper. Presser foot up when you thread a sewing machine. When the presser foot lifter is up the tension unit is open and better able to receive the thread. Prior to threading the needle drop the presser foot lifter. There should be a good amount of resistance when you pull the upper thread. Shouldn’t break the thread but should have some good tension. When in doubt change your needle, it is hard to tell if the needle has been damaged with the naked eye. Lastly, understand how to make an upper thread tension adjustment on your machine, increasing or decreasing your upper tension will get the stitch right where you want it.

This will assure you have the right supplies and it will keep us in business for future classes. • The entire class fee is due at the time you register. If you must cancel a class registration, you must notify us no later than one (1) week prior to the class date. NO EXCEPTIONS. • No refunds will be given on special events. • Class minimum is three (3), and the maximum is twelve (12), except where noted. • If the class does not fill, or if we cancel the class, you will receive a full refund or store credit, your choice. • Supplies are needed for almost all classes. The class fee covers instruction only. You are responsible for picking up your supply list and coming prepared to class. Please have your supplies and fabric, and any pre-class preparation complete, before the day of class so that you are prepared for the class to begin. • Copyright law requires that each student purchase his or her own book or pattern needed for the class.
