WOF indicates cutting strips across the width of the fabric. Fabric A: Cut (4) 8-1/2" x WOF strips, re-cut into: (16) 8-1/2" squares Fabric B: Cut (9) 2-1/2" x WOF strips, re-cut into: (16) 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" strips (16) 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips (9) 2-1/2" squares (7) 2-1/4" strips, sew together end-to-end for binding Fabric C: Cut (12) 2-1/2" x WOF strips, re-cut into: (16) 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips (16) 2-1/2" x 12-1/2" strips Fabric D: Cut (14) 2-1/2" x WOF strips, re-cut into: (16) 2-1/2" x 12-1/2" strips (16) 2-1/2" x 14-1/2" strips Fabric E: Cut (12) 2-1/2" x WOF strips, re-cut into: (24) 2-1/2" x 14-1/2" strips Backing: Cut two 70" panels and join along length.

Refer to Figure1 for block construction.

Note: Refer to quilt assembly diagram on for block and sashing placement.

1. Sew a 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" Fabric B strip to left side of an 8-1/2" Fabric A square. Sew a 2-1/2" x 10-1/2" Fabric B strip to top of sewn unit. 2. Repeat step 1 by sewing strips C and D to sides and top of sewn unit (Fig. 1). Make 16 blocks.

3. Watching orientation and turning blocks in the appropriate direction, join three 2-1/2" x 14-1/2" Fabric E sashing strips to four sewn blocks. Repeat three times to make a total of four rows. 4. Join three 2-1/2" Fabric B squares to four 2-1/2" x 14-1/2" Fabric E sashing strips. Repeat two times to make a total of three sashing rows. 5. Watching orientation carefully, sew block/sashing rows together to complete the quilt. 6. Layer, quilt and bind as desired to finish.
