Officials’ Report: Eleven players from our association served major penalties in the month of November.

Travel Jerseys: Our contract with ING/Capital One is up for renewal next year. Looking to renew one year early and order new jersey’s for the 2013-2014 season.

Intro to Hockey: Intro to Hockey kids joining SCYHA Jr. Mite Program. Offer families joining late, a fee of $75 since they will participate in just over half the season.
o
“Rink Rat” Hockey: This would be a program similar to our Shot Club, only players would be logging open ice time, above and beyond their team ice. A T-shirt would be given to those players who put in 3040 hours of outdoor ice by the end of the year. They would track their own hours. If 100 kids participated it would be $600-700 for the t-shirts.
o
SCYHA will host E2 Program again this year.

Secretary’s Report: Posted and online MN Hockey Report: o Rosters are closed. o There have been some goalie issues. Get them taken care of. o Coaching certifications-Mike Dehler is on top of this for our association. o 842 penalties state wide. 56 of them are from D5.
January 3rd, 2013 there will be a meeting for all coaches/managers with Mike Mooney. He will discuss why the refs are calling what they are calling this year. o 35 games at Squirt level-after they have roster signing. This will then include controlled scrimmages. o Zero tolerance at all arenas for bad behavior. o Game changes are out of control. o Peewee B & C issues-lower B teams will be allowed to play C teams due to not enough teams at the C level. o Play-off locations: Bantam/Peewee AA-Buffalo Bantam A-Litchfield Peewee A-Sauk Rapids/Sartell Bantam B-New Ulm Peewee B-Hutchinson Peewee C-Monticello 12A-Monticello 12B-Paynesville Coaches Report: o Another Level 3 Clinic will be held in Bloomington on Dec. 27 th. Card will need to be printed before they leave the clinic. o Coaches will be red-lined if things are not turned in by Dec. 31st, 2012. o Mark Norbel is the new ACE coordinator. o
Age Level Coordinator Reports: o
Jr. Mites: 1st game will be this coming Sunday. Added 4 players from the Try Hockey for Free. 84 players on teams. 91 Jr. Mites by age.

Mites: Mite D team has been picked and practices have started.
o
Squirts: Great, involved managers this year, makes for smooth teams.
o
Girls: 10UB team won the championship game in their River Lakes tourney. 12UB team has added another girl to help their numbers.
Goalie Coordinator report: Goalie instructional money is being used. One suggestion is for the goalies to
use the money during the season to keep their skills and enthusiasm high. Another suggestion is for teams to pitch in with the cost of the instructional reimbursement.
Coach in Charge Report: All coaches will be reimbursed for USA hockey and certification at one time. Joel will take care of this when the time comes. Unfinished Business: SCYHA Bylaws: Section 2. Voting Rights. All members In Good Standing will be eligible to vote only at the annual Election Meeting held in April of each year. Each family, as set forth in Article II Section 1, shall be entitled to one vote. Each member of the Executive Board and Board of Directors will be entitled to one vote for each issue raised at a meeting where a vote of the Executive Board and Board of Directors is called for.

Open Forum: Tournaments: (Todd Imdieke) Center Ice Classic-Jan. 19-21, 12 Peewee teams and 12 Bantam teams will play. There is a mix of both A and AA teams. The games will be played at 3 arenas; MAC, Bernicks and NHC. Roger Carsten will have rink writer set up. He has scheduled all the games. Schedule is on the CIC website. Volunteers will be needed. Todd Imdieke is working on this. Squirt C Tourney: 16 teams will play. All games will be at the MAC. Volunteer/Board Member sign-up will be out soon. Announcements: o
