The profits for the month before taxes were approximately $10,600. I also mentioned the fact that there is a lot of unpaid taxes on the electronic gaming due to the way the State of MN was taxing it. The State is now changing its taxing method to a pay as you go system, not when a game is closed, beginning May. I estimate the unpaid taxes for April and the cumulative unpaid electronic gaming to be approximately $28,000. Additionally, the rent due for the month of April is approximately $3,800. Even after all these unpaid amounts. The profits from gambling for our past fiscal year (May 2012 – April 2013) are approximately $100,000 (this includes the 50/50 raffle profits of $17,000). Our Gambling taxes will consistently be high over the next several months since we have reached the maximum MN Gambling rate of 36% on our pull-tab games, both paper & electronic. This rate will not reset until July. Age Level Coordinator Reports: o

New Business:

Pizza Fundraiser: Feedback was to sell pizzas again, not Chip Shoppe.

Skill Sessions: Idea is to have Sunday night sessions beginning in mid August-Oct. and run for about 10 weeks. Mike Hiltner will work with our coaches. Skills will focus on shooting and stick handling. Funds will be covered by the gambling funds.

Mite D’s: Doug Kephart is not really keen on Mite D’s. We would like to go back to D10. If we cannot do this, we would do it “in house” instead. Would be easy to schedule. Idea would be to have 30 kids instead of 15, teams could scrimmage each other and pair up talent.

Team Declarations: Coaches had a meeting prior to this one, Initial declarations would be: Squirts- 2A’s (A1 and A2), 2 equal B’s, 1C Peewee’s- 1A, B1, B and C Bantams- 1A, B1 and B Would host a junior gold team if needed.

Shot Club: Emailed SCSU for dates. Will be ready and organized by the end of May. Mike Hiltner suggested adding 10,000 passes to this club as well. Need a new t-shirt vendor-any ideas?

Open Forum: Still looking for a Co-coordinator for tournaments. Age level coordinators will help with their age level tournaments, helping get volunteer spots filled and other various jobs. Let Mike Petroske know if you are interested.
