Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Verses 9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to the one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. Again, if two lie together they keep warm; but how can one keep warm alone? And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A three fold cord is not easily broken.

Ecclesiastes-An Overview Writer’s title is Qohelet or leader of the assembly
Septuagint—Greek translation of Old Testament (Ekklesiastes means one who leads the congregation) Ecclesia can be interpreted as the church The very name “Ecclesiastes” implies community Community is a central element of relationships
